It's well and truly Christmas month! Busy and somehow mellow too. Today for instance, house-work, quiet play and not much else. The number of summertime events is stacking up, and I do have a hens party to attend later today, but for now we are fully chilled and looking forward to one final week of work before the holidays really begin. It's been a big year. It's nice to have it all winding down now (or winding up, depending how you look at it).

Reading: Just finished 'How to Write a Novel' by Nathan Bransford. If writing a novel is one of your goals (or even if you've written one already), I highly recommend this book!
Drinking: G&T's - my summer favourite this year
Prepping: Our yearly Jibjab video. So silly and fun.
Watching: 800 Words and Inside Amy Schumer
Eating: Blueberries and strawberries
Listening to: Ben Harper.

Making: Sharpie mugs (easy, fun, appreciated).
Planning: Summer camping missions.
Anticipating: Family get-togethers, Fridays with friends...

Last night we attended the annual Christmas carnival and it was filled with highs and lows. The small disappointments (not catching a lolly in the scramble, missing out on face-painting etc) were well made up for when E and G each took out first place in their decorated rock categories. Their faces when we held up the $5 bills. I want that memory on constant replay in my head. The night finished with fireworks and happy kids.

so sweet... enjoy your summer days xx
